Level 1
“Explain this” (Est. Cost: $500-$750) – This service is limited to reviewing specific areas of the contract that you are concerned with. This service is appropriate if you are happy with the contract overall, but you don’t understand some of the terms. I would ask you to circle the terms that you would like me to explain to you. I will explain those terms in normal English so you can determine if they work for you. You don’t want to sign things you don’t understand. This service is done in one phone call. This level does not include marking up the contract. To get started, I need you to circle the terms of the contract that you need me to explain and email that document to me. Level 2
“What do you think about this?” (Est. Cost: $500-$1,500) – This service is appropriate if you have a contract where you want an opinion on a particular issue. For example: Is this term clear to you? Does this comply with state or federal law? Is this a good deal? Am I getting ripped off? Should I use [this term] or [that term]? Will this prevent me from getting sued? What should I change? etc. These types of questions require me to get to know more about you, your preferences, and your business dealings. They may require some research or revisions to the contract. This level does not include marking up the contract. To get started, I need you to circle the terms of the contract that you would like an opinion on. I need you to email the contract to me. The email should also summarize your areas of concerns. “What do you think about this, and this, and this…?” – (Est. Cost – Starting at $1,500) – This level is appropriate if you have more complex questions about the contract. For example, if you need a combination of Levels 1 and 2, then this service is appropriate for you. This level is also appropriate if you would like me to perform a comprehensive review of the entire contract and identify issues that may be of concern to you. This level is appropriate if you would like me to mark up the contract and suggest additions/revisions. To get started, I need you to circle the terms of the contract that you would like an opinion on. I need you to email the contract to me. The email should also summarize your areas of concerns.
